Notice of Community Survey – Western Putnam County
Putnam County is working with the Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) to apply for a 2021 Community Development Block Grant through the state of Tennessee. The proposed project to purchase a new fire apparatus will improve fire protection in the western Putnam County area. As part of this application process, the community is required to complete a Target Area Survey related to household information. In January and February 2021, UCDD and Putnam County Fire Department staff will be completing these surveys of residents who live in the western Putnam County-Gentry area/Highway 70 corridor. Surveys will be conducted by phone. Callers will request household information, including a household income level estimate, but they will NOT ask for social security numbers or other financial information. All information received will remain confidential and is used only to determine the community’s eligibility for this grant. If there is any question of the validity of a caller, please contact Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter’s office at (931) 526-2161.
