That National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has increased the risk for severe storms on Thursday February 16th to an ENHANCED RISK (level 3/5).
Severe storms are possible overnight Wednesday night, primarily in the early morning hours of Thursday. A SLIGHT RISK (level 2/5) exists for damaging winds, heavy downpours leading to flash flooding, and isolated tornadoes.
A second round of severe weather is expected Thursday (February 16th) afternoon and evening. Models show the greates risk 4-8pm, but there are several factors that will determine the likelihood and severity of storms that may develop.
Stay weather aware overnight Wednesday night and Thursday, and ensure multiple systems that will wake you up if storms develop, and have a plan.
