The Cookeville-Putnam County Convention & Visitors Bureau is tasked to inspire travel from fly & drive markets to reach international and national visitors resulting in overnight stays. This increase in sales and lodging tax provides a tax relief to Putnam County residents. Putnam County, Tennessee includes the cities of Algood, Baxter, Cookeville, and Monterey which is known to be an area rich in both history and natural assets. With two area welcome centers, our added goal is to provide free area information and resources to those interested in learning more about Putnam County and all of the amenities the region has to offer. The Putnam County Convention Center is located off I-40/Exit 283 Tennessee Ave. on the new Putnam County Fairgrounds. The venue is available to rent for meetings, luncheons, trainings, trade shows or events.
