Putnam County Fire Department is a Combination Fire Department with 13 Full Time Fire Fighters, 9 Part Time, and approximately 60 Volunteers. The County has an ISO Rating of 10/6/6X. It operates out of 13 soon to be 14 Fire Stations covering approximately 400 square miles. 

We had over 2300 calls in 2023.

The Department participates in the Tennessee Fire Marshal's "Get Alarmed Program" and offers free Smoke Alarms to Putnam County residents. To inquire about the program contact us at our non emergency number or by email.
