NWS Storm Predicition Center has issued an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) for severe storms Tuesday April 2nd, 2024.
Primary Threat: Damaging winds (gusts in exess of 60 mph), large hail, heavy downpours, and a few tornadoes possible.
Timing: Three rounds of severe weather are expected for Putnam County
Round 1: 8 - 10am
Round 2: 5 - 8pm (these are expected to be the strongest storms)
Round 3: 10pm - midnight
Stay weather aware Tuesday as pop up storms can occur outside the expected timeframes. Storms will be moving quickly and may not allow for much warning.
