What should you do?
Always have a plan in case severe weather warnings are issued. Move to the lowest level of a home or building, in the innermost room (putting as many walls between you and the outside as possible). Using a small mattress or couch cushions to cover yourself, and even using a helmet to protect you head are great ways to prevent injuries. Most tornado injuries and deaths occur from head injuries from flying debris.
