Active weather this Memorial Day weekend May 24th - May 27th

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a MARGINAL RISK (level 1/5) for severe storms in our area Today May 24th.
For today May 24th, storms will be similar to what they have been the past 2 days. Strong to severe with the potential of producing damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain.

The day with the lowest severe threat will be Saturday. With that being said, the atmosphere will be very unstable, so any storm that does pop up Saturday could quickly dump very heavy rain, put out some gusty winds and produce frequent lightning.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a SLIGHT RISK (level 2/5) for severe storms in our area Sunday May 26th.

The greatest risk with these storms is damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flash flooding caused by heavy downpours Sunday May 26th into Monday 27th.

Please use today to make preparations in your home storm readiness plan, and ensure your NOAA Weather Radio and flashlights have fresh batteries.
Have multiple ways to receive warnings and remain #WeatherAware this Memorial Day weekend.
