The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe thunderstorms tomorrow Thursday May 1st.
The timing of the severe weather is the afternoon and evening. The primary threats are isolated severe thunderstorms, wind gusts, heavy rainfall, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning possible, and a low risk for a tornado.
There is also a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorms to develop Friday afternoon through the evening. Potential hazards include damaging winds, tornadoes, and hail.
