The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorms today Thursday May 15th.
The timing of the severe weather is the afternoon and through the night. The primary threats are isolated severe thunderstorms, wind gusts, heavy rainfall, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning possible, and a low risk for a tornado.
There is also an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) for severe thunderstorms to develop Friday May 16th afternoon through the evening. Potential hazards include damaging winds, tornadoes, and hail.
