The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorm tomorrow, in the morning and evening, Friday January 9th.

Flood Watch in Effect Friday through Saturday morning for much of Middle Tennessee. Flooding of streets and low lying areas will be common and some small streams may rise out their banks. Please stay weather aware and be prepared to move to safety if waters rise. Do not drive through flooded roads.

Heavy rainfall is expected Friday into Saturday. Flooding will become a concern area-wide, but especially across the southeast half of Middle Tennessee where there are medium to high chances for more than 2 inches of rainfall, and locally more than 3 inches. Flooding of streets and low lying areas should be expected, and some small streams may flood.

Please use this time to make preparations:
